<p>My Story&#8230;<br />
I am often asked how I stay so healthy. “You must have great genes, or you<br />
must be really lucky,” people say.</p>
<p>I wish that were true&#8230;</p>
<p><span id="more-477"></span></p>
<p>My childhood and teenage years were a medical<br />
adventure to say the least.</p>
<p>I suffered from an average of 3-4 colds a year; 1 flu a year; 6 ear infections<br />
(with ten rounds of antibiotics and 3 ear surgeries) from age 4-7; stomach<br />
and intestinal illnesses every year; 2 cases of Tonsillitis; childhood back<br />
pain; leg (growing) pains; and seasonal allergies every spring and fall.</p>
<p>Then I hit early adulthood and added stomach ulcers, Irritable Bowel<br />
Syndrome and headaches to the mix.</p>
<p>In addition, I had high blood pressure in my early 20&#8242;s and a family history<br />
of heart disease and diabetes that scared the you know what out of me.<br />
Needless to say I have spent a lot of time in the waiting room of doctor<br />
offices and urgent care clinics my life.</p>
<p>The pattern of a 3-4 colds, annual flus, back pains, headaches, IBS and<br />
stomach ulcers continued until age 23.</p>
<p>I also have had 6 car accidents, 2 motor cycle accidents, and countless skiing<br />
and mountain biking falls. I have 3 surgical plates in my head from cracking<br />
my skull.</p>
<p>With all these injuries you&#8217;d think my body would be a wreck! But it&#8217;s not.<br />
The turning point for my health – and my life &#8211; happened when I was 23. I<br />
had just finished 5 years in the US Navy and was studying to eventually<br />
become an ER doctor at the University of California, Davis. I was working<br />
as a bartender putting my self through school.</p>
<p>It was a Friday afternoon on a cold December day and I had just finished a<br />
week of final examinations. I was preparing the bar for a busy holiday night.<br />
Customers were laughing and cheering. The holidays were right around the<br />
corner. Christmas music was playing on the radio.</p>
<p>I clearly remember lifting a large keg of beer from the top of the bar when I<br />
felt what I thought was a “knife” in my lower back. I dropped the keg in front of me then fell to<br />
the ground. I immediately reached around to feel what was wrong. But there<br />
was no knife, no holes and no cuts. “I must have pulled<br />
something bad” I thought to myself. I had never experienced so much pain.</p>
<p>My good friend Greg Kane was sitting at the bar having a drink. He helped<br />
me off the ground as I agonized in pain and said to me “you&#8217;re going to see<br />
my Chiropractor.” “No way” I said, “those guys are quacks!” He was 7 feet<br />
tall and I was helpless, so he drove me in to see my first chiropractor.</p>
<p>I figured it couldn&#8217;t hurt, and if I needed to I would go to the ER later and<br />
see a &#8216;real&#8217; doctor.</p>
<p>Two hours later &#8211; after getting a set of x-rays and one adjustment from this<br />
chiropractor &#8211; I was beginning to feel some minor relief. So I agreed to continue<br />
seeing him for more adjustments. To my surprise I was feeling significant relief after<br />
just one week.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the catch &#8211; the pain relief was NOT the only gift I received from seeing<br />
this doctor. The adjustments he was doing to my spine were also helping to relieve other problems in my body&#8230; Like my stomach pains and allergies.</p>
<p>But to tell you the truth, the real treasure was to come from the teachings that he offered in the weeks to follow. And to be quite honest, I was not a very good student. He was a chiropractor and I had some preconditioned disbelief.  It seems that quite a few medical doctors do not &#8216;believe&#8217; in chiropractic, and I was unfortunate to have known a few of these types of doctors.</p>
<p>One day during a routine office visit I told him that I was unsure about his information and<br />
he responded with one of the most powerful questions I have ever heard.</p>
<p>He said &#8220;Jack, if you don&#8217;t believe in what I am teaching you now, can you at<br />
least suspend your disbelief long enough to see it working for you?&#8221;</p>
<p>He also did something even more powerful&#8230; he gave me some great books<br />
to read. The first book I read was Quantum Healing by Dr. Deepak Chopra MD.<br />
I was stunned. Dr. Chopra wrote about the power that humans have to heal<br />
themselves from any disease &#8211; even Cancer. I had never heard this<br />
information before in my life. Especially from a prominent medical doctor.</p>
<p>I had been to over 50 doctors in my life for my own health<br />
problems, I was doing my undergraduate work with the intention of eventually becoming an ER doctor or surgeon, and I was working as a volunteer in a busy medical hospital. Yet I had never heard anything like this before.</p>
<p>So I searched for any information I could find about the power to be free<br />
from all disease. I read dozens of books and attended private seminars<br />
outside of my regular education. I traveled to doctors offices across the<br />
country (U.S.) to observe their methods and learn from their teachings. I<br />
was profoundly influenced and absolutely changed forever by these new<br />
discoveries.</p>
<p>This was how I discovered the Secret to being healthy forever! Six months after discovering these Secrets I had no more allergies, no more stomach pain, no more headaches, no more back pain, no more IBS, no more high blood pressure and no more common colds or flus.</p>
<p>I had gone from taking regular allergy medications, anti-inflammatory<br />
medications, pain pills, stomach acid pills, IBS pills and cold medications to<br />
taking nothing but a few vitamins and supplements.</p>
<p>Flash forward 17+ years&#8230;<br />
I am now 41 years old and I have not been sick in 17 years. No medications, no antibiotics, nothing.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve only seen an MD one time in the last 17 years to<br />
have an X-ray for a skiing injury to my shoulder. (Which I healed using the<br />
methods from my book, naturally).</p>
<p>I never take for granted the things I have learned and the gifts I have<br />
received. I really appreciate knowing what I know and sharing this knowledge with people that I love. Especially for my own family. My two kids Mina (9) and Skye(7) never get sick and have never been to a Doctors office. And they are un-vaccinated and have never taken medicines. And we have traveled frequently and been around plenty of people with illnesses&#8230; Yet we all enjoy amazing health.</p>
<p>I am also grateful to be able to teach &#8211; or remind &#8211; people like you how to use<br />
this knowledge and power to become healthy forever.</p>
<p>So can you do it? Can you go from being sick to being part of the New Healthy? Even if you are really sick? Yes you can. And I know you can because I&#8217;ve done it myself.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em><img class="size-medium wp-image-352 alignright" title="Couple_of_Bacteria" src="http://drjackricci.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/couple_of_bacteria1.jpg?w=208&#038;h=217" alt="Couple_of_Bacteria" width="208" height="217" /></em>What is the reality with the Swine Flu and other &#8216;germ-related&#8217; diseases?  Are we really that weak as humans that any little germ that finds us will make us sick?  Are our lives being controlled by little germs or is there something very important missing from our understanding of the nature of disease?</p>
<p>Wise people like you will appreciate the information I disclose in this report. I share a secret that even your doctor might not know&#8230;  <em>The “Germ Theory of Disease” is only small part of a much bigger picture, and it does not explain the true nature of disease!!</em></p>
<p>The Germ Theory was created and promulgated (in part) by Louis Pasteur in the 1860’s.  To this day it is the basis for modern/western medicine&#8217;s approach to health and disease.  But Is Pasteur’s theory really sound?</p>
<p><span id="more-350"></span>According to Pasteur:</p>
<p>● Germs/microbes cause disease.</p>
<p>● Germs invade the body from the outside, from air, water, food or contact.</p>
<p>● Human blood is sterile and can only be infected by outside microbes.</p>
<p>● Germs are monomorphic meaning they have only one form.</p>
<p>● Specific diseases are caused by specific germs and should be killed by medications.</p>
<p>Are these statements valid and true without exception?  Let&#8217;s look at some other scientists&#8217; work for some answers.</p>
<p>Robert Koch, a German scientist, contributed some amazing things to the world of science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Koch.   While working with the concepts involving the Germ Theory of disease Koch derived the popular “Koch’s Postulates.”</p>
<p><strong>Koch&#8217;s postulates are:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>The microorganism must be found in abundance in all organisms suffering from the disease, but should not be found in healthy animals.</li>
<li>The microorganism must be isolated from a diseased organism and grown in pure <a title="Cell culture" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_culture">culture</a>.</li>
<li>The cultured microorganism should cause disease when introduced into a healthy organism.</li>
<li>The microorganism must be reisolated from the inoculated, diseased experimental host and identified as being identical to the original specific causative agent.</li>
</ol>
<p>So what did Koch actually find?  He found that you could find germs (that were thought to cause certain diseases) in healthy people with no symptoms (still true today).  So postulate 1 needed revision.  He also found that some people could be exposed to the germs and not contract the disease.  Now postulate 3 also needed some work.</p>
<p>So what about those Germs&#8230; those pesky little things that are supposedly responsible for making us sick?   So, we all have Germs in us, but most of us are still healthy.  Why is this fact so important?</p>
<p><em>Why do some people get sick and others not, even though they&#8217;ve been exposed to the same germs?<br />
</em></p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at another scientists work; Professor Antoine Béchamp.  Béchamp brought forward the theory of pleomorphism. He was able to observe in his microscope that a germ could evolve into many different forms.  He found that a germ could transform from virus to bacteria, yeast, fungus, and mold.  This is important information in the area of Germs and disease!</p>
<p>Claude Bernard (another contemporary of Béchamp) expounded on the pleomorphic theory and related ideas.  He contributed to the whole picture by showing that the inner terrain &#8211; the physical environment of the host organism &#8211; was the major factor that either allowed or resisted diseases to form.</p>
<p>One of the key findings of Bernard&#8217;s work is that the pH (acid/alkaline balance) of the environment was one of the most important factors in determining whether or not germs could grow in living tissue.</p>
<p>Science has shown that germs grow more readily in an acidic environment.  If the human blood pH drops by as little as 0.1, the corresponding increase in acidity allows for human immune function to decrease significantly enough for opportunistic germs to begin growing unchecked.</p>
<p>Why is this important information?  Because what you eat and how you feel are what affects the pH of your body.  So you can eat the right foods and reduces stress in your life to balance your pH levels, thereby allowing your own body to fight off disease!</p>

<p>So, why are we still hearing so much in the media about germs?  Why has medical community ignored these and similar findings about Germs and disease for the last 140 years or more, and is still promoting today that Germs are the sole cause disease?  Could it be that we are so wrapped up in the deception that we can&#8217;t change our ways?  What do the Pharmaceutical companies have to do with it?  These questions will have to be answered in another blog post&#8230;</p>
<p>But now you know the truth.  Germs are only a part of the picture, and in most cases, only a very small part of the problem.</p>
<p>Germs alone don&#8217;t make you sick unless you allow them to.  Your health and resistance to disease is dependent upon freeing yourself from all forms of stress (mental/emotional, chemical, physical) and allowing your body to harmonize and function as it was designed.</p>

<p>The Truth is that you and everything in your life are miracles.  You may or may not agree with that statement.  If everything is good in your life then you probably agree with me.  On the other hand, if some things in your life are troubling you you may disagree that all of life is a miracle.</p>
<p>Miracles are thought to be &#8220;divine intervention, or a gift from God.&#8221;  Which is true.  But so is everything else in life.  You, your family, all of the physical things in your life, and all the experiences you enjoy are all miracles.  Everything is a gift from God.  Even the things we call problems are really just gifts in response to our asking.  We are literally living that which we have asked for in every moment of life.  The miracles we are receiving are there because we have asked for them.</p>
<p>The trick is to intentionally attract the miracles you want, and to avoid as many of the undesirable &#8216;miracles.&#8217;  How do you do this?  There are many ways.<span id="more-205"></span></p>
<p>One way is called Selective Sifting.  I learned about it from Abraham-Hicks (<a href="http://www.abraham-hicks.com">http://www.abraham-hicks.com</a>).</p>
<p>Selective sifting means to selectively look through your life for those things which please you the most.  Past, present and future.  Just put the words &#8220;Selective Sifting&#8221; and or &#8220;Intentionally Creating&#8221; on sticky notes or reminder cues everywhere you are.  Then remember to activate your mind regularly on the positive events of your life.</p>
<ol>
<li>Look through your past for the things you loved most.  Think of the people, places, things and experiences that you most enjoyed in your life.</li>
<li>Also spend some time doing the same thing for your current situation.   Take some time and look for those things about your current life that please you the most.</li>
<li>And then visualize into your future life for things that you will enjoy when you get there (virtual reality imagination).</li>
</ol>
<p>What will begin happening when you do this <strong>regularly</strong>?  The Universe and the world around you will begin to reflect more of that which you are focusing on.  The things that you give your mental and emotional attention to will multiply in your physical reality.</p>
<p>This works all the time, every time.  No exceptions. The reason that some people think it does not work is simply because they have been lazily &#8216;reacting&#8217; to and attracting more of the things in their life that they do not want.  The only reason that it may not work in the way that you want it to is if you do not do the steps with regularity.</p>
<p>I was watching Finding Nemo today with my kids when this great idea popped into my head.   It happened right in the middle of the movie when Nemo&#8217;s father Marlin is introduced to the &#8220;currents&#8221; of the ocean (eg. the Gulf Stream).  Watching the turtles enter the massive current got me thinking about the &#8220;stream&#8221; of energy we call life.   The stream of life has many names;  current of life, source energy, God force, chi, life force, all that is&#8230;  But they all refer to the same thing;  the non-physical vibration that feeds every living and non-living thing.</p>
<p>The idea I had during the movie was to imagine that I was in that &#8216;stream&#8217; cruising along like the turtles and selectively choosing those things I wanted in my experience&#8230; and at the same time bypassing those things I don&#8217;t want.</p>
<p>Do this exercise often enough and you&#8217;ll find those things you could only imagined would come true quickly become reality.</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s face it, <em>pain relief </em>is one of the primary reasons people see a chiropractor.  It&#8217;s not the best reason, but it&#8217;s a good reason.  It&#8217;s worth mentioning quickly that Chiropractic&#8217;s most powerful benefits are related to a better functioning body overall &#8211; due to enhanced functioning of your nervous system resulting from a Chiropractic adjustment.</p>
<p>I will be the first to admit that I see a chiropractor for both reasons:  pain relief <em>and</em> improved function of my body.  I like it that my digestion is better when I get adjusted, but I <em>really</em> enjoy that my back feels better as well.</p>
<p>But let&#8217;s say you can&#8217;t get to your Chiropractor now&#8230; or you went and your still feeling some sort of pain (very common).  What can you do?</p>
<p>Ready?  Here you go:</p>
<p>1.  <strong>Ice</strong>.  If you are in pain and need some relief, reach for a good soft-gel type ice pack.  Ice is particularly good during the first 2-3 days after an injury.  &#8220;But it&#8217;s cold outside!&#8221;   So, get dressed up warm, turn up the heat and put that ice pack on your sore back or neck.  And plan to take a nice hot shower or bath right after you ice.</p>
<p>Apply ice for 20 minutes at a time.  Use a thin T-shirt or cloth between your skin and the ice pack.  It&#8217;s common for the area being treated to feel really cold, achy and even &#8220;burn&#8221; a little for the first 5 minutes, then the area goes numb and the coldness goes away.  Avoid using ice for longer than 25 minutes.  You can do more harm than good by keeping ice on for longer than 30 min.  Wait at least 2 hours before repeating with ice.  (You may  wish to consider alternating with heat at this time&#8230; read below).<span id="more-218"></span></p>
<p>Ice therapy reduces swelling, and decreases pain signaling.  Ice therapy also improves circulation; after the ice therapy your body increases blood flow to the area.  This helps to flush out toxins and damaged cells, and also brings nutrients and natural pain relief to the area.</p>
<p>You can use ice as long as you are noticing benefit from it.  Most doctor suggest to use ice only for the first 2-3 days, but ice can really be used effectively as a healing agent for weeks at a time (due to the circulatory improvement in the area).  <em>Especially when alternating with heat therapy.</em></p>
<p>2.  <strong>Add Moist Heat</strong>.  Caution:  during the first 48-72 hours after an injury heat should be used only conservatively (alternating with ice).  But anytime after that, or in the case of no apparent &#8216;injury&#8217; you can begin oscillating Ice with Moist Heat.   Get a heating pad, or hot water bottle and make it hot.  Take a wash cloth and wet it with warm water.  Squeeze out the excess water.  Apply the wet wash cloth to the painful or stiff area.  Place the heating pad or hot water bottle directly on the moist wash cloth.  Leave on for 20 minutes.</p>
<p>Avoid using just heat alone during the immediate 2-3 days after a significant injury.  Heat alone can increase inflammation and lead to more problems  (if you simply have stiffness or tightness with little or no pain then you can use moist heat alone without using ice).  If you have time only for one thing, do the ice protocol above.  But if you can do both then here is the best timing:  Ice for 20 minutes, rest and walk for 20 minutes, moist heat for 20 minutes, rest and walk for one hour.  Repeat until pain goes away.</p>
<p>This works because:  ice reduces the swelling and pain, heat warms up the area and improves circulation, drawing life giving nutrients to the painful-damaged area.  Ice-Heat oscillation creates a &#8216;pumping&#8217; action in the tissue pushing out damaged cells and inflammatory chemicals and drawing in nutrients and pain relieving chemicals.</p>
<p>3.  <strong>Apply topical gels like Arnica or Tiger Balm gel to the painful area</strong>.  These gels help to improve circulation, reduce pain and inflammation and improve function.  I have found the most effective ways to use these gels are in combination with the moist heat protocol above.  Apply a liberal amount of the gel to the painful area.  Place your moist wet towel over the area.  Place the heating pad on the towel.  Follow the rest of the protocol above.  You can leave the gels on even when you use Ice packs.  Apply more gel each time you do another heating session.  Warning:  Tiger Balm has two strengths.  The stronger Tiger Balm gel can get really warm feeling to the skin even without heat.  Judge how much you want to use before you apply the moist heat.  Wait 10 minutes after you apply the gel before you add moist heat.  If it gets too hot then remove the heat and wash the skin off with soap and cool water.</p>
<p>4.  <strong>Walk and move slowly.</strong> Walking is one of the best ways to get rid of back and neck pain.  When you walk your spine gently rotates back and forth (twisting like ringing a wet towel).  This gentle movement allows your vertebrae and muscles to move and circulate blood and other life giving fluids.  Gentle movement is essential in restoring normal muscle and nerve function to an injured or painful area.</p>
<p>5.  <strong>Stretching and Yoga.</strong> Know when to stretch and when NOT to stretch.  If you have an acute painful injury or a sharp stabbing pain it is best not to stretch the area until the pain subsides significantly.  Use the above protocols until you feel that the pain is manageable and you can stretch the area without exacerbating the pain.  If you notice during your stretching that the pain is worsening then stop and do the above protocols.</p>
<p>Timing of stretching:  it is best to stretch when your body is warmed up a little.  I have found that the most effective use of stretching is after the moist heating protocol, and/or after a walk.  You can help your stretching by applying the above gels to the area before your stretching.  Go for a walk after you stretch, then repeat the icing protocol because stretching can stir up some inflammation in injured or painful tissue.  Always stop if it becomes too painful or you notice negative benefit.</p>
<p>6.  <strong>Use anti-inflammatory supplements, homeopathic remedies (last resort use medication) to help in the reduction of swelling</strong>.  Even if it appears that you had no injury you can still have internal, localized swelling causing you pain.  I prefer staying away from the medication type of anti-inflammatory due to the well documented side effects of these drugs (see: NSAID side effects, leaking gut, ulcers, liver toxicity and back pain&#8230;).  But if you must, use medication conservatively and wisely, stopping as soon as you can and avoiding prolonged use.</p>
<p>Natural anti-inflammatory supplements and homeopathic remedies are effective (although often not as strong or quick acting as drug therapy).  Arnica tablets are effective especially when used in conjunction with the above protocols.  Also, Omega 3 oils (found in cold water fish, chia, flax, hemp) supports our body&#8217;s Innate anti-inflammatory system.  It works best if you eat these foods on a regular basis to help maintain high levels of Omega 3 in your body.</p>
<p>7.  <strong>Chill out and rest your mind!</strong> Stress is the leading cause of back pain, neck pain and head-aches!  Take some time to reduce your stress levels.  Laugh a lot.  Watch a funny movie.  Sing.  Play games with your friends or family.  Walk in the park.  Take out a notebook and write about all of the things you appreciate about your body.</p>
<p>*Laughter improves your mood and increases the release of healing chemistry in your body, which in turn speeds up recovery!  The key is to do anything you can to get your mind in a good feeling place.</p>
<p>8.  <strong>Go for a swim</strong>.  If your pain is manageable enough to tolerate moderate activity, swimming is the best thing you can do.  It&#8217;s not jarring, not impacting and helps your body to reduce pain and improve function.  If you have the time complete steps 1 and 2 above before and after you go for a swim.  Using the Ice/Heat before and after the swim is great therapy.  Hint:  chiropractors and physical therapists charge an arm and a leg to ice/heat you and exercise you&#8230; save time and money and do it yourself!</p>
<p>9.  <strong>Avoid sitting in chairs or soft couches that strain your back.</strong> The best reclined position for neck and back pain is on your back with your legs resting on 1 or 2 pillows (underneath your knees).   Avoid slouching down in a chair, this tenses your spine.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-221" title="neck-pain-human1" src="http://drjackricci.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/neck-pain-human1.jpg?w=192&#038;h=192" alt="neck-pain-human1" width="192" height="192" />10.  <strong>For neck pain and head aches specifically use the following extra protocol.</strong> Roll up a bath towel (dry) so it is about 4-6 inches in diameter (larger for taller/longer necks, smaller for shorter necks).  Tie or tape the towel so it stays in a tight roll.  Use your ice pack from protocol 1 above and place it on the towel roll.  Lay down (on your back, face up) with the middle of your neck draping over the top of the towel roll/ice pack.  The ice pack/towel roll should fit naturally in the curve of your neck.  You want your neck to be slightly stretching in a natural curved position.  Your head should be barely touching the ground/bed on the upper side of the towel.  You can do the same thing with the heating pad over the towel roll.</p>
<p>Caution:  If you experience any worsening of pain from any of the above protocols then immediately stop and consult your chiropractor or medical doctor.</p>

<p>I sat down today with an intention to write an article about improving your health over the holidays, but then I quickly realized that there is a lot more attention on money than health right now.  And besides, improving your finances will trickle over and help your health anyhow.</p>
<p>So how do you miraculously Attract more so you can Spend more? <span id="more-208"></span></p>
<p>The spending part is easy right?  If you have it you can spend it.  However, it is worthwhile to mention that spending on your<strong><em> local</em></strong> goods and services IS the way that the <strong><em>local</em></strong> economy will bounce back.</p>
<p>Think intelligently and put your money into industries that you respect.  Invest in services and goods that you know will help the economy.  Here are some examples:</p>
<ul>
<li>Buy what food you can from your local farmer&#8217;s markets</li>
<li>Hire as many local services as you can to do jobs for you</li>
<li>Buy local and hand-made artisan gifts for the holidays</li>
<li>Forgo the large foreign-owned corporate stores (for now) and spend as much on local small businesses</li>
<li>Buy products made in your own country</li>
<li>Buy real estate (it is a great time to do so if you can)</li>
<li>Advise your friends and family to do the same</li>
</ul>
<p>Create an &#8216;infusion&#8217; of spending for goods and services and the economy will very quickly gain momentum.</p>
<p>OK, how about that second part&#8230; the <strong>Attracting</strong> more dollars?  How easy is it?  It is as easy as you believe it to be!</p>
<p>Many wealthy people have said this about money:  the only difficult thing about making money is believing that it is easy.  The first step in attracting more dollars into your life is to shift your &#8220;belief&#8221; so that you know money comes easily.  If you think that money is difficult to attract then it will be.  But if you shift your belief about the subject then money will seem to flow effortlessly into your life.</p>
<p>How do you do this?  There are many ways, but it all comes down to programming your brain.</p>
<ul>
<li>Clear or abandon old limiting beliefs and thought processes</li>
<li>Create new empowering beliefs and thought processes</li>
</ul>
<p>Abandoning or clearing old thought processes can be easy if you do it right.  It just takes work.  I have learned some very effective techniques by working with people like Tony Robbins, Dr. Joe Vitale, Bob Proctor and our good friends Abraham-Hicks that help you to abandon or &#8220;clear&#8221; old limiting beliefs about money.   Here are some common aspects of how to go about clearing old limiting beliefs:</p>
<ul>
<li>Identify the limiting thoughts, beliefs and feelings you currently have and write them down on paper</li>
<li>Use a wide variety of techniques to examine the &#8216;validity&#8217; of the thoughts or beliefs (limiting beliefs are simply not true)</li>
<li>Clear your old limiting thoughts and beliefs by proving them untrue, not valid or not applicable</li>
</ul>
<p>Clearing processes should be something you do once or twice about each specific belief then it is complete.  The only exception to this rule is if you fail to clear the limiting beliefs properly OR fail to create new beliefs through repetitive mantra or affirmation.  Once you have cleared the old beliefs then it is time to create some new ones that serve you.  Repetition and emotion is the key.</p>
<p>The ONLY reason people do not succeed in ANY personal development or betterment program is failure to do the work with repetition and emotion!  This is such a powerful and important statement that I want you to pause here for a moment and simply think!</p>
<p>Michael Jordan became the best basketball player by shooting hundreds of thousands of practice shots.  The same goes for Tiger Woods.  The same goes for anyone who succeeded at anything.  They practiced repeatedly and did so with a lot of powerful emotion.</p>

<p>The Law of Attraction teachings are truly changing the course of history.  People from all over the world are beginning to understand the Law of Attraction and the Art of Allowing.   And one by one we&#8217;re learning (or remembering) how to use the principles of the Law of Attraction for creating a life that is more in alignment with who we really are.</p>
<p><span id="more-177"></span></p>
<p>What is the Law of Attraction?  The basic definition says: &#8220;that which is like unto itself is drawn.&#8221;   We are complex energetic beings emitting frequencies that match what we are seeing in our environment&#8230;  Basically, whatever our dominant thoughts and feelings are becomes our environment.  Thoughts become things, especially when emitted with powerful emotions.  And we are always attracting, whether intentionally or by default.  So we may as well attract the things we want versus the things we don&#8217;t want.  Right?</p>
<p>But how do we know if we will like the things that we are in the process of attracting?  It&#8217;s easy &#8211; just pay attention to how we feel on a regular basis.  If we feel positive emotions most of the time then we will in general attract things that please us.   And if we feel negative emotions on a regular basis, then we are setting ourselves up to attract things that will not please us.</p>
<p><em>Tip:  Be intentional and consistent about what you think and how you feel.  Rely on the power of your WILL to think more positive thoughts and envision better outcomes in your life.  Consistent effort on your behalf will help you to find positive aspects and align with them on a regular basis&#8230;  This is where ACTION becomes very important.</em></p>
<p>If you take the time to <em>truly</em> feel better about your current situations then you&#8217;ll usually end up with better outcomes.  Or at best you&#8217;ll feel better.</p>
<p>What about in times of crisis? <em> Is there value</em> in feeling better during a crisis?  Who would you rather have on your team; a person who remains calm and positive under stress, or someone who is completely pessimistic and fearful?   You want someone who is calm and confident right?  Why?  Someone who is calm and confident is usually in alignment with a good outcome.  Plus, they make us feel better along the way.  Confidence feels good to those who are uncertain.   And what&#8217;s the worst thing that can happen?  We&#8217;ll have the same outcome, but we&#8217;ll feel better along the way.  Personally, I think there&#8217;s value in that.</p>
<p>Changing your thoughts and feelings can take a lot of work for some people, and may even seem impossible to others.  That&#8217;s why alcohol, food and anti-depressant drugs are so popular.  It&#8217;s often easier to reach for a pill, a cookie or a bottle of beer than to reach for a better feeling thought.</p>
<p>What makes some people successful and others not?   Successful people are consistent, and they aim for gradual changes.</p>
<p>Whatever you do, don&#8217;t try to reach for thoughts that are <em>too far off</em> from the dominant thoughts you are thinking.  Work your way up gradually, and be consistent.  Small changes each day will lead you into a completely different place down the road.  Makes sense right?</p>
<blockquote><p><em>OK, so now what?  I understand that there&#8217;s value in feeling better.  What does that mean exactly and how do I do it?</em></p></blockquote>
<p>This is a good time to introduce you to a very important tool called the Emotional Tone Scale.  This tool could quite possibly change how you see things.  It did  for me.  When I learned this one simple piece of information it changed my whole existence.  I would go as far to say that this tool, the Emotional Tone Scale, is the single most important thing to understand next to the Law of Attraction itself.</p>
<p>Stay with me here.  You see, your emotions are a <em>state of vibration</em>.  They are an indicator between what you are thinking in your mind and what your inner being knows to be true.  Your inner being is pure positive vibration.  So if you think thoughts that are in <em>alignment</em> with your inner vibration you feel good.  And if you think thoughts that contradict your inner vibration you feel bad.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s have a look at the scale so you can see it and understand what I am talking about.  The emotions are listed from highest positive vibration down to the lowest negative vibration.</p>

<p>So how can you use this scale to help you to effectively feel better?  <em>Know where the emotions are relative to each other on the scale and work your way up gradually!</em></p>
<p>Remember what I said about people making this too hard on themselves by trying to reach for thoughts and feelings that are too far from where they are?  Don&#8217;t do that!  Just don&#8217;t!</p>
<p>If you feel fear or depression it&#8217;s nearly impossible to find a thought of appreciation.  It&#8217;s too different from where you are.  It&#8217;s much easier to work your way up the scale.  So if you feel fear find a thought that is higher up on the scale.  Revenge always feels better than fear.  But anger feels better than revenge.  Don&#8217;t hang around at revenge or anger though&#8230; actively reach for thoughts that let you feel better.  Maybe you can find the feeling of blame, or doubt or frustration&#8230; keep going.  Be proACTive!  Reach for thoughts that eventually bring you to contentment or hopefulness.  When you are at hopefulness you are home free!</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s look at a real life example for clarity.  Maybe you feel negative emotion because your financial situation or business is down.  You feel fear and depression. You could turn it around by intentionally thinking thoughts about your business that are higher up on the scale.</p>
<p>For example, your initial negative thoughts may be something like this:  &#8220;My business is down and my finances are in the red, there is not enough money coming in and at this rate I will have no way of paying my bills next month.  This causes me to be fearful and depressed.&#8221;</p>
<p>Begin by <em>reaching</em> for thoughts that feel better.  For example &#8211; &#8220;I&#8217;m jealous of my fellow colleagues (jealousy).  They are still doing well and I&#8217;m not.  Damn that pisses me off (anger).  They are taking all my business (blame).  I&#8217;m worried that I won&#8217;t be able to pay my bills next month (worry).  I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll be able to make things happen in time (doubt).  I know there are many things I can do to help out, but I just feel overwhelmed when thinking about it (overwhelm).  I want it to happen now, I can&#8217;t wait for it to happen later (impatience).  It&#8217;s probably not going to work out for me (pessimism).  I think if I just chill out a little and focus on one thing at a time everything will be alright (hopefulness).  In fact, I&#8217;ve seen others go through the same problems and they seemed to turn it around by believing in themselves (belief).  I feel pretty passionate about my business and what I do (passion).  If there is one thing that I know it is that I create my own reality through what I give my attention to (knowing).  So I will now give my full attention, appreciation and focus to my success (appreciation).&#8221;</p>
<p>So you see how this works now?  Don&#8217;t try to be &#8216;grateful&#8217; if you are pissed off or afraid.  Gradually work your way up the scale.</p>
<p>The Emotional Tone Scale is one of the most powerful tools I&#8217;ve ever discovered.  By using it wisely you&#8217;ll be able to consistently feel better about your life, and the direction it&#8217;s headed.  And with a more positive &#8216;vantage point&#8217; you will more likely align with circumstances and experiences that will please you when you arrive.</p>
