10 Things You Can Do At Home Without Your Chiropractor

December 16, 2008

back-pain-921Here are my top 10 all-time proven strategies on how you can get out of pain and improve your function now!

Let’s face it, pain relief is one of the primary reasons people see a chiropractor.  It’s not the best reason, but it’s a good reason.  It’s worth mentioning quickly that Chiropractic’s most powerful benefits are related to a better functioning body overall – due to enhanced functioning of your nervous system resulting from a Chiropractic adjustment.

I will be the first to admit that I see a chiropractor for both reasons:  pain relief and improved function of my body.  I like it that my digestion is better when I get adjusted, but I really enjoy that my back feels better as well.

But let’s say you can’t get to your Chiropractor now… or you went and your still feeling some sort of pain (very common).  What can you do?

Ready?  Here you go:

1.  Ice.  If you are in pain and need some relief, reach for a good soft-gel type ice pack.  Ice is particularly good during the first 2-3 days after an injury.  “But it’s cold outside!”   So, get dressed up warm, turn up the heat and put that ice pack on your sore back or neck.  And plan to take a nice hot shower or bath right after you ice.

Apply ice for 20 minutes at a time.  Use a thin T-shirt or cloth between your skin and the ice pack.  It’s common for the area being treated to feel really cold, achy and even “burn” a little for the first 5 minutes, then the area goes numb and the coldness goes away.  Avoid using ice for longer than 25 minutes.  You can do more harm than good by keeping ice on for longer than 30 min.  Wait at least 2 hours before repeating with ice.  (You may  wish to consider alternating with heat at this time… read below). Miraculously Attract Dollars and Stimulate the Economy!

December 15, 2008

08-01-17_money8Let’s be realistic for a moment… the economy depends on you.  You make it flow with your earnings and your purchases.  You create abundance in your life and in the lives of others through your thoughts and your actions.  So do your job to help the economy.  Attract more dollars and spend more dollars.

I sat down today with an intention to write an article about improving your health over the holidays, but then I quickly realized that there is a lot more attention on money than health right now.  And besides, improving your finances will trickle over and help your health anyhow.

So how do you miraculously Attract more so you can Spend more?  Read more…

126597849_36666f83141You’ve heard the buzz haven’t you?  There has been so much chatter about the Law of Attraction in the recent years…  I just entered the term into Google search and produced 5.4 million results!  (update March 2012: Google now gives 16+ million results).

The Law of Attraction teachings are truly changing the course of history.  People from all over the world are beginning to understand the Law of Attraction and the Art of Allowing.   And one by one we’re learning (or remembering) how to use the principles of the Law of Attraction for creating a life that is more in alignment with who we really are.

Obama Will Not Make You Rich!

November 5, 2008

What’s it worth to you that Obama is the US President?

Change, opportunity, prosperity?  What will he continue to bring with him?

Will he help the economy?  Will he end US health care problems?  Will he provide jobs?  Will he end the War in Iraq?  Will he help the US to regain world respect?  Will he help the Environment?

Those are some tough questions that will be answered in the coming months and years.

Now ponder these unique questions.

Will he make you a happier person?  Will he make you a richer person?  Will he write your new best selling novel for you?  Will he create your new Fortune 500 company and hire you as president?  Will he be responsible for giving you the ideas for your next joint venture project?

I’ll venture to say that you answered all of those questions with a NO.  Read more…

The Pumpkin Fairy

October 30, 2008

The Pumpkin Fairy Is Coming To Town…

Five years ago I ran into a little dilemma.  I had to choose between the lesser of two evils – to either let my toddlers join the ranks of sugar-drugged children on Halloween night or to keep them home missing all of the fun.  Either option seemed limiting, so I decided I needed to rethink this one a bit.

Later that evening I was searching the internet for costume ideas for our Halloween party.  I entered “mythical Halloween costumes” into Google and the first listing that came up was a site that had a picture of a “Pumpkin Fairy” on the front page.  Since my kids were really into fairies I sat there for a moment and thought about the idea of a Pumpkin Fairy.  Then it hit me!  The Pumpkin Fairy was the answer to my concerns with Halloween’s unhealthy candy.

No Such Thing As No

Yes Daddy!
Yes Daddy!

According to the Law of Attraction, when you ask it is always given.

Another way of saying this is that whatever you ask for, the Universe instantly becomes it.  All of the time, no exceptions.

According to Quantum Physics, if you have the ability to formulate a picture in your mind of something then it is already in existence in energy form.

So the first step in attracting anything you want is to accept that what you want already exists if you are able to imagine it.  Then sit back and allow it to come to you.

So how do you allow it or manifest it?  You do this by imagining the thing you want, and by paying attention to the good feeling that it gives you.  See it, taste it, smell it, and feel the joy and excitement that it brings you in your mind.

You will know you are on the right track to getting what you want because you will constantly receive guidance in the form of your emotions.  Read more…

What If…

September 13, 2008

Have you ever asked yourself ‘what if’ questions?  I have.  I used to ask a lot of negative ‘what if’ questions until I realized that I was creating negative results by doing this.

The questions you ask yourself determine your point of focus, and and your point of attraction.

And there’s one thing I’ve learned in life about the questions that you repeatedly ask…

You will eventually get the answers to the questions, so why not ask great questions?

Here is a game I like to play.  It’s the “what if” game.  Ask yourself “what if,” but use the positive outcome instead of the negative one.
